The Book

BookThe Penny Collector is the first book by blogger Steve Nazarian. The book is made up of fifty-three stories, each of which has a central idea, concept, theme or notion. Chapter zero is the story of The Penny Collector. Click the button below for the intro and chapter zero.

The remaining fifty-two chapters are designed to be read one a week – for a year.

You can read it all at once, and that might be fun, but once you do; go back and set aside 10-20 minutes a week to re-read each chapter. At the end of each chapter you will find a “charge” that will challenge you to apply the idea in the story to your own life.

The Penny Collector is the perfect book for anyone who wants to get a little bit more out of life. It is also a great resource for:

Parents – Teachers – Managers – Teens – Small Groups

The longest chapter is only ten pages, so no matter how short your attention span, this book is going to be fun to read. The Penny Collector is available as a prefect-bound paperback and in the Nook, Kindle and iBook formats. An audiobook version is in the works and will be available soon.

The print version is priced at only $11.99. That’s only a dollar a month, and you get to keep the penny. Once you read chapter zero you’ll know what I’m talking about. If you are interested in a signed copy or other fun stuff, visit The Penny Collector Store.

  • Steve, Congratulations, quite an accomplishment!! I would love an autographed copy for Valerie. Will you be signing anywhere?

  • Really looking forward to reading more of your book. I know that my father in particular will also enjoy reading it as well. He is another great story teller, but unfortunately doesn’t put his in writing. Your first chapter spoke to me so much that I am about to show it to our daughter Morgan (good friends with your niece Lila). She needs some inspiration as she works on some essays for a scholarship she is going after. One of the topics is leadership – the penny story is a great one. You never know when those seemingly little choices we make can impact others for years to come. BTW – I am also glad that yours stories will be imbedded with your faith journey. I can’t imagine writing about what happens in my life without including my faith walk.
I hope we get to meet some day. Maybe you can autograph my book and we can exchange Lehigh stories.

  • An excellent read that is not only inspiring but also down to earth, relatable and quite humorous. Not a very easy task to accomplish. I highly recommend Steve’s work.
